For more information about our immediate location, take a look at the Local Area page, which lets you know about the stunning region that surrounds Lane End.

Not far from Lane End is the Camel Estuary, an area that is fast developing a reputation around the world. It takes in Polzeath, Wadebridge, Rock and Padstow, all over looking this beautiful stretch of water.

Along the East bank runs the Camel Trail on what was once a railway line, now it is popular with cyclists and walkers. There is plenty of room for both, even in the busy Summer months. Cycle hire is readily available at many points along the route; Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin, have a number of options. The trail turns West at Bodmin, heading into the woods towards Bodmin Moor.

This region is one of the reasons why North Cornwall holidays are becoming ever more sought after. Padstow and Rock attract not just everyday tourists, but the super rich of Hollywood. It is a well repeated rumour, that Johnny Depp has bought a four million pound house in Rock, and common knowledge that the Royals frequent the location. Yet, it is still a relaxing place for all to enjoy.
Holidays in Cornwall are at the top of the list for many residents of the UK currently, with many choosing to stay in the country to avoid the stronger Euro, and the county is drawing a great deal of interest from the continent. But Cornwall has always seen visitors from the far reaches of the world, and has also exported its residents around the globe throughout history.
